A Walk with Hope

Many a month of solid fear,
Hope whispered words of wisdoms in my ear.
She said to keep my head towards the stars,
To break my chains and walk through these bars.

In hers, she took my hand,
Picked me up and taught me how to stand
For myself, and all that is me.
For this, I praise her on bended knee.

We walked everywhere and nowhere,
So that she could show where
Love lingers and faith dwells,
Where mercy marches and silence swells.
