Dressing the Day.

Morning soft
ribbons of blue
Have come to wrap
The break of day around you.

With gilded spears
Stretching to eternity,
Purples and pinks
Are placed at your feet.

Emerald grasses
Rush to meet your fingertips,
As ruby roses
Gently kiss your lips.

Transparent winds
Escape as breaths.
Only for today,
There is no such thing as death.

Candy-colored clouds
Dance around the sun,
Specks of sunlight
Leap around like vibrant children.


A golden pendant
Dangles at her bodice,
It would even strike the gods
As mildly modest.

The sun has risen
And the day is dressed,
With candor and incandescence,
This earth is truly blessed.
