In Beth Hubert's article titled "Evolving Skin", she goes deeper into the depths of changed skin pigmentation through the means of science and observation.
In her article, she states that the main reason why skin color changed is because of migration. Research shows that the earliest humans most likely came out of Africa, which has a hot and sunny climate, thus the root of the dark skin complexion. They migrated to different areas of Europe and Asia. They no longer had that constant sun beating down on them, browning their skin. Now, what I am about to say is based off of my own local surroundings of the world, and off of ideas other scientists may have on the subject also. It is an obvious apparency that we have evolved over the years. Fossils and bones have clearly shone that, and scientists have also found various tools that the earliest humans used.
